Data Driven Learning and Control seminar series is organized by the Information and Decision Science Lab at Cornell University and aims to explore the latest advancements and interdisciplinary approaches to data-driven learning and control systems.

Bio: Yannis Paschalidis is a Distinguished Professor in the College of Engineering at Boston University with joint appointments in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Division of Systems Engineering, and the Department of Biomedical Engineering. He is also a Founding Professor of Computing & Data Sciences.

He is the director of the Rafik B. Hariri Institute for Computing and Computational Science & Engineering – a Boston University federation of several centers and initiatives which acts as a catalyst and convergence accelerator for interdisciplinary research in this broad space.

He is also affiliated with the Center for Information and Systems Engineering, the BioMolecular Engineering Research Center, the Clinical & Translational Science Institute, the Precision Diagnostics Center, the Initiative on Cities, and the Center for Systems Neuroscience.

He completed his graduate education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, receiving an M.S. (1993) and a Ph.D. (1996) degree, both in electrical engineering and computer science. In September 1996 he joined Boston University where he has been ever since. He has held visiting appointments with MIT and Columbia University.
