Bio: Michal Moore is visiting scientist in the R.F. Smith School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Cornell University and University of Reykjavik in Iceland. He is professor emeritus of economics at the University of Calgary and former chief economist at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in Denver, CO. He is a former commissioner of the California Energy Commission and led development of the first Renewable Energy Investment Plan for the state. His recent work involves the creation of a carbon accounting and trading system that can be based on equivalency metrics for decarbonization energy policies. Moore is a research fellow at the Atkinson Center for Sustainable Energy Futures and a senior fellow at the Policy School at the University of Calgary.
