Brian Bauer

Brian leads the undergraduate and M.Eng. capstone design courses for Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, serving as the Energy and Sustainability focus area lead. A seasoned international executive with extensive experience in oil, gas, chemicals, and renewables across the U.S., Asia, and Europe, he brings deep expertise in operations, strategy, and M&A to the classroom. Brian is a longstanding mentor in Cornell’s entrepreneurship ecosystem, having designed climate and ag-tech startup programs, and serves on the boards of the Paleontological Research Institution and the Sciencenter to advance climate and science education.
