• Technical Writing Sample

  Showcase your ability to synthesize and communicate quantitative information. The document should be no more than 4 years old and should be 5,000 words or less and can include figures. Acceptable documents include but are not limited to a technical analysis, project or company report, white paper, published article, or projects or reports from a previous STEM course.

  Be creative and highlight your potential to contribute to Cornell’s Core Values.

• Statement of Purpose

  Share your passion for Cornell and think about what gets you excited about the Engineering Management Program. Highlight your strengths and show us how you will contribute to the engineering management community.

• Student Location Requirement

  Students enrolled in the Engineering Management Distance Learning program must be physically located in the United States while completing the degree. Some international applicants are eligible because they live and work in the U.S. with employer sponsorship. Active-duty members of the U.S. military who expect to be stationed overseas during the program should contact us to discuss their circumstances.

  International students planning to study in the U.S. on a student visa should instead consider our on-campus Engineering Management master’s program.
