Quantum Information Science

Researchers in the area of quantum information science study the application of quantum physics to information science and technology. The School of Applied and Engineering Physics has research groups spanning quantum sensing, communications, simulation, and computing, with experimental approaches including superconducting circuits, trapped ions, photonics, and semiconductor devices.
