Joint Tenure Track Faculty Position in Biomedical Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering
Cornell University’s Nancy E. and Peter C. Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering and the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Cornell University invite applications to fill a joint tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level although exceptional candidates at all ranks will be considered. We seek candidates with expertise in bioinspired functional materials and cell- and tissue-interactive biomaterials. We welcome applicants whose research advances the design, synthesis, characterization, and processing of biomaterials and is motivated by clinical or translational challenges, with applications including drug delivery, orthopedics, medical devices and diagnostics, precision medicine, and related areas of human health. Candidates must have an earned doctorate in engineering or a closely related field, with a demonstrated potential for success as an independent investigator and educator.

Cornell University’s Nancy E. and Peter C. Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering seeks applicants for a tenure-track faculty position in Engineering Education Research. The appointment is expected at the Assistant Professor level, but outstanding candidates at all ranks will be considered. Candidates must have an earned doctorate in engineering, STEM education, or a closely related field, with a demonstrated potential for success as an independent education research investigator and a classroom educator. Responsibilities include the pursuit of a program of scholarly research in Biomedical Engineering Education; teaching courses in Biomedical Engineering; and advising undergraduate and graduate students.

Assistant Teaching Professor Position in Biomedical Engineering
Cornell University’s Nancy E. and Peter C. Meinig School of Biomedical Engineering has a full-time position for an Assistant Teaching Professor to teach and develop undergraduate and master’s level biomedical engineering courses. Teaching Professors are non-tenure track teaching faculty members who are hired on multi-year appointments with the expectation of renewal and promotion, with a 9-month service period plus summer opportunities. This position has an anticipated start date of Fall 2027. Teaching Professors in the Meinig School teach two 3-credit hour courses per semester and participate in faculty meetings, curricular review committees, and strategic planning.
